60th Birthday Party Ideas

My mom celebrated her 60th birthday this past weekend and in her honor we celebrated with a wonderful party.

I created these small purses with my Cricut and used the Forever Young cartridge... purses cut at
3 1/2" so that I could get 2 purses per 12" sheet.  The paper is a g.c.d studios designers paper from the cosette collection that I found at Michael's on sale for $.19 a sheet.  The flowers were cut with a flower punch from Martha Stewart and emblished with a small rhinestone.

I created for her a Money Tree and on the branches I placed bows and scallop circles with the number 60.

Also, we created a Sweets table which was very tempting not to eat it all up before the party started.
We made Tamarind covered apples... which are absolutely delish.  With those we also made candy coated apples, cupcakes, chocolate fountain for strawberries and marchmellows...pretzels, hot cheetos, candies' galore.

It was an amazing party and my mom's joy was priceless.  I am blessed to have a wonderful mother in my life.

Thank you for visiting.. hope these ideas help you too.

Just @ note mini notebook

Hi,  I am so happy... I got a bind it all for Christmas and at the beginning had a hard time figuring it out... turns out that the instructions that came with the machine are wrong.  I finally found the correct instructions online.  I recieved a beautiful set of blank cards from a friend and wanted to send her a thank you card with a gift.  So, I got to work and created this small notebook.

I used a Designer's Paper from Stampin UP!
Stamp Set from Papertrey Ink.

This was my first try in creating a medellion and I am pleased how it came out.

I cut a (2) 12" strips by 1 1/2" and used my scoreboard to score at every 1/2".
I united both strips with glue to create one long 24" strip.... Once they were glued I turned it over and applied it onto a 1 3/4" circle and Viola!... medellion complete.

I used a stamp from Papertrey ink to complete the design.

On the inside, I created a pocket and used My Pink Stamper's (Everyday Sentiments).
For the thank you card; I cut a 6" by 3" strip and folded in half.
Used a scrap of paper for the outer design.
The pages inside are all 4 1/4" by 5 1/2"... I created a sheet on Microsoft by just applying lines and printing out.. I cut the sheet 5 1/2" by 4 1/4".  Just half and then half again... hope that is not confusing.

Thank you for visiting my blog... hope to hear from you soon.  Have a wonderful and blessed day.
